Oct 15, 2011. Dwarf Tree. Fruit round-conical. Yellow background, orange blush, red stripes, green lenticles, no russeting. Some stems bulbous. Inside, long, wide stars. I only sampled the fallen fruits, which had begun to ferment, so the taste was fermented, winy, sweet, like candy. Crisp.
College Camp
Oct 15, 2011. Dwarf tree. Fruit round. Lovely fat yellow apples, most on ground. Light yellow background color, red stripes, pale green lenticles, russeting at stem. Inside, a very wide star, ripe brown seeds. Taste winy, juicy sweet, not tart, crisp, soft. Mmm.
College Camp - Cox Orange Pippin
Oct 15, 2011. Semi dwarf tree. Fruit round. Greenish yellow undercoat, orange blush, red stripes, white lenticles. Bulbous stem, long-armed star in core. Tastes like an orange! Sweet, tart, fresh, tough skin, juicy, crisp flesh. Nice!
College Camp
Oct 15, 2011. Semi dwarf tree. Fruit oblong. Green undercoat, deep red blush, half-and-half look. White lenticles, oblong shape, some scab, no russeting, bulbous stem, wide star. Taste very tart, not flavorful, tough skin. Yuck! Probably very unripe, despite the fact that I tasted fallen fruit only.
Mail Bay
Oct 15, 2011. Dwarf tree. Fruit round-conical. Green background color, faint pink blush. Green lenticles with areolas, russeting at stem, stem short. Bird pecks. Inside, a tight star. Seeds not entirely brown - unripe, but some apples have already fallen. Taste astringent (unripe), tart, a bit sweet. Probably a keeper apple.
Mail Bay - Liberty Apple (?)
Oct 15, 2011. Dwarf tree. Fruit round-conical. Green background color, red stripes and blush, whitish bloom, white lenticles, no russeting. Seeds not entirely brown, many apples have already fallen. Taste bland (unripe).
